DIRECTORS
CONVENE ANNUAL STATE MEETING IN EL PASO

Bowman. W. T. “Dub” Crumley, Chairman of the Texas State Soil and Water
Conservation Board, presents the Directors of the Fannin Soil and Water
Conservation District with the State Outstanding District plaque. Out of 216
districts in the state, the Fannin SWCD was honored as the most
outstanding district of the state for 2003.
FANNIN COUNTY SWCD RECEIVES AWARD
The Fannin Soil and
Water Conservation District #520 was honored as the 2003 State Outstanding
Conservation District Winner at the 63rd Annual State Meeting of Texas Soil
and Water Conservation District Directors that was held in October in El
Paso. C. W. Jones, Billy Partridge, Leon Bowman, Roger Dawdy and David
Keene, District Directors was able to attend the meeting to accept the
award.
Others attending from
the Fannin Soil and Water Conservation District were Johnnie Kay, District
Atrazine Technician and Randy Moore, District Conservationist with the
USDA-NRCS office. Chloe Jones, Peggy Partridge, Claudia Dawdy and Judy
Keene, wives of the District Directors. Approximately 650 resource
conservationists and their guest attended the meeting. |
